Fabric Preparation

Embroidery is designed and applied to each individual panel.

Please supply your pattern pieces, toile (or copies) along with your fabric stating

the seam allowance. All patterns will be returned to you with the completed embroidery.

The pattern will be marked out with tacking stitches ready for the

embroidery.

For a bodice please supply a rectangle of fabric  55cm x 60cm to allow for framing.

For smaller items of pattern. These pieces will be tacked around leaving a little surrounding fabric to allow for hoop placement

Larger panels of skirt or train can be cut out.

A center seam can be embroidered over on a train design.

When embroidering the curvature of a skirt hem extra seam allowance will be

needed to allow for framing.

Please show hem allowance and place a tack where the embroidery should end.

To embroider the top section of a princess seam gown. The panels are cut out leaving

extra fabric as shown around the neckline area.

For border work please supply a rectangle of fabric so lengths of border

can be embroidered onto the same width of cloth.

Minimum width of fabric required for framing is 45cm.

Bordered embroidery can be designed to fit the curvature of a neckline and

bodice panels.

Please allow sufficient  fabric for framing.

Thank you
