• Come along to our 2 hour sewing group on a Tuesday afternoon 2.30pm -4.30pm.
  • Anything you wish to sew, perhaps an alteration which you never got around to do.
  • Dressmaking, cushion covers, upcycling, any number of things you can make here.
  • If you are new to sewing and wish to develop your skills we have, sewing machines, overlockers, coverstitch machines for you to use.
  • We have a maximum of 8 or 9 people in our sessions and I work around the class offering help and advice on your project.
  • We have dressmaking patterns, craft patterns and inspirational books free for you to read and work from.
  • Fabrics and haberdashery are available to purchase, we sell both cotton craft fabrics and dressmaking fabrics.
  • Refreshments of tea and coffee are provided too.
  • I've an earlier group at 12.15 if you are travelling any distance you might like to stay for 4 hours sewing.
  • Please contact me if you would like to do this and I will check available places on the earlier sewing group.

Workshop Requirements

  • If you are bringing your own machine, please make sure it is in good working order.

We are open for online shopping. Posting time for personalised items is 5 days.

Ordering from our online fabric shop our posting time is usually the next day. Visiting us in person for fabrics please see our opening hours.

Orders are posted in a padded envelope and posted with Royal Mail using a tracked service. Customs duty may apply to countries outside the UK.

Booking and Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required when you book your workshop or sewing group place.

Deposits for parties are 30% of the total cost and full payment received 6 weeks before the event.
If you cancel your workshop I can offer a full refund six weeks before the class commences.

A refund of 50% can be given three weeks before the workshop date or I can move your place to the next available date.

We are unable to offer any refund within the last two weeks leading up to course date.
Sewing group places can be moved forward to the following week provided I have 5 days notice. This can only be carried forward once then your sewing place will need to be re booked.
Should I need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances then your booking fee will be refunded.

Available fonts

Here are a selection of fonts.
Generally the size of text is 12mm on handkerchiefs.
We embroider across one corner of each hankie.
We have two settings for the initials which are straight or are diagonal/stepped. Please see FAQ for examples.
Please be sure to choose the correct setting for the font type you are choosing.
On font types with a flourish certain characters do appear larger,
especially font 22 which the letters are best set up diagonal/stepped- where one initial is lower than the other.
