Jean Westgarth

Hello I’m Jean.

With over 30 years of experience in pattern drafting sewing and digitizing machine embroidery.

I have sewn most of my life and I started my sewing career dressmaking and embroidering bridal gowns and christening robes. I’ve also sewn lots for myself and my children and now I’m sewing for my grandchildren!

For my home, I’ve upholstered a sofa, chair and foot stool as well as dining chair seats and sewn plenty curtains! I’ve even made a garden parasol!

At our sewing classes we do lots of dressmaking and sew children’s clothing. Cushion covers for the home, table runners and place mats. Covering lampshades which involves no sewing!

I quilt a little too, making oven gloves, tea cosy and bags. In the past I’ve made a memory quilt from my daughters clothing. At the moment I have two quilts to finish!

Our workshops include dressmaking and altering your pattern for clothing to fit you. Making soft furnishings, sewing tote and cosmetic bags and much more.

Please join me at our inspiring studio and let me share my knowledge and passion for sewing with you.
