  • Come along to our sewing group on -a welcoming space to learn, create, and connect.
  • Whether you are completely new to sewing or would like to develop your skills, our friendly and relaxed sessions are perfect for improving your wellbeing while meeting like-minded people and enjoying good conversation.
  • We provide sewing machines, overlockers, and a coverstitch machine for you to use, or you can bring your own machine if you prefer.
  • Projects can include,
  • Craft sewing
  • Dressmaking
  • Up-cycling
  • Alterations
  • You will also have access to inspirational sewing books and patterns to help spark ideas and support your projects
  • Each session is limited to 8 people allowing plenty of individual support. I work around the class offering help, guidance, and advice tailored to your project and skill level.
  • Fabrics and haberdashery are available to purchase during the sessions, and complimentary tea and coffee are provided.
  • Come and enjoy a creative, supportive atmosphere where you can sew at your own pace, build confidence, and make new friends.
  • Workshop Requirements
  • If you are bringing your own machine, please make sure it is in good working order.
  • Please do not bring any large upholstery items, curtains or blinds to class.

Personalised Hankies Shipping Update - Due to holidays, any orders received after 19th June will be posted on the 30th June.
Ordering from our online fabric shop our posting time is 1 to 2 working days. Visiting us in person for fabrics please see our opening hours and arrange an appointment.

Orders are posted in a padded envelope and posted with Royal Mail using a tracked service. Customs duty may apply to countries outside the UK.

Booking and Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required when you book your workshop or sewing group place.

Deposits for parties are 30% of the total cost and full payment received 6 weeks before the event.
If you cancel your workshop I can offer a full refund six weeks before the class commences.

A refund of 50% can be given three weeks before the workshop date or I can move your place to the next available date.

We are unable to offer any refund within the last two weeks leading up to course date.
Sewing group places can be moved forward to the following week provided I have 5 days notice. This can only be carried forward once then your sewing place will need to be re booked. No refunds will be given If you cancel on the day.
Should I need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances then your booking fee will be refunded.

Available fonts

Here are a selection of fonts.
Generally the size of text is 12mm on handkerchiefs.
We embroider across one corner of each hankie.
We have two settings for the initials which are straight or are diagonal/stepped. Please see FAQ for examples.
Please be sure to choose the correct setting for the font type you are choosing.
On font types with a flourish certain characters do appear larger,
especially font 22 which the letters are best set up diagonal/stepped- where one initial is lower than the other.
